The agents

Eight roles, each with one job

Agents are named by role, hold only the access that role needs, and run on their own schedule or when you ask. They never share credentials with each other, and none of them can change production on its own.

Runs on a schedule

Sentinel

Probes every site around the clock: pages, forms, certificates, response times and content checks. The moment something misbehaves it opens an issue with what it saw and what it suspects.

Runs on a schedule

Backup Warden

Takes the daily backup of content, media and settings, keeps ninety days, and rehearses a restore every Sunday into a scratch copy. Reports the result, not just the attempt.

Runs on a schedule

Maintainer

Watches EmDash and dependency releases. Opens a pull request per update with the changelog summarised, the preview built and the checks run. You approve and merge.

Runs on events

Forms Steward

Receives form submissions, delivers them where they belong, flags spam and keeps the inbox clean. Tells the Sentinel when a form stops posting.

Runs when asked

Editor

Drafts and updates content in the EmDash admin when you ask: a new post, a rewritten page, a batch of alt text. Saves drafts; publishing is your click.

Runs when asked

Builder

Turns a request into code on a branch: a new section, a new page type, a whole site from a starter. Every result is a pull request with a preview URL.

Runs on incidents

Responder

Answers an incident the Sentinel raised with a diagnosis and a proposed fix, ready to approve or send back. Rolls back to the last good deploy when you say so.

Runs on conversation

Intake

Turns a conversation into a tracked issue with a priority, an owner and acceptance criteria, then hands it to the right agent and keeps you posted.

Boundaries

What an agent can and cannot do

Each agent reaches a site only through ManagEm's gateway, with a credential scoped to its role. The gateway enforces the boundary and logs the call.
